At Winther, Karl Clocks & Watches Repairs, we stand behind the quality of our work. This refund policy explains your options if you're not satisfied with our services.
Service Evaluation Period
After receiving your repaired timepiece, you have 14 days to evaluate our work. If the timepiece is not functioning as described or agreed upon, please contact us immediately.
Eligible Refund Situations
Refunds or service corrections may be provided in the following situations:
- The timepiece does not function as agreed upon after repair
- Workmanship issues become apparent within 90 days of service completion
- Service was not performed as described in the estimate
- You declined service before work began (diagnostic fees may still apply)
Non-Refundable Services
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Diagnostic and evaluation fees once the evaluation is complete
- Services performed more than 90 days ago
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs after our service
- Normal wear and aging of timepiece components
- Issues unrelated to the services we performed
Refund Process
To request a refund or service correction:
- Contact us within 14 days of receiving your timepiece
- Describe the issue in detail
- Return the timepiece to our shop for inspection (if applicable)
- Allow us the opportunity to correct the issue before requesting a refund
Resolution Options
Depending on the situation, we may offer:
- Complimentary re-service to address the issue
- Partial refund if full resolution is not possible
- Full refund in cases where service cannot be satisfactorily completed
Deposits and Advance Payments
Deposits paid for services are refundable if you cancel before work begins. Once work has commenced, deposits are applied to the cost of labor and parts already invested.
Refund Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed within 10-14 business days using the original payment method.
